At the March meeting (2018) some changes were made to the rules governing the championships.
The junior divisions have been replaced with Under 21 divisions, and there will be 4 divisions in each of the events.

The championships are based on averages so that bowlers of any ability are catered for.
Men and women have separate divisions in singles and all events. All other events are mixed.
The under 21 divisions are for bowlers under 21 years of age as at 1st January, in the year of competition, mixed male and female, and again based on averages..
Each entry is comprised of 3 games, with singles, doubles and teams being offered.
The championships run all day Saturday, Sunday and Monday prior to the East Coast Challenge Cup, and there will be limited squads available on Wednesday and Thursday morning prior to the East Coast events .
